These ten or so images are from october 2008 in Saas Fee. I woke up on a quick R&R trip in California with a phone call informing me that there was a flight leaving from portland at 10pm. If I wanted to be en-route to Switzerland the following day I HAD to make the flight! Vancouver International Airport gets real quiet after midnight for a few hours, Thus I reread my camera manual while lounging at the airport and discovered the multiple overlay process that I prescribed to the following images. Its an incamera process, I then ran the pics through lr2.

I just can’t get enough of the coast, storms to sun I am completely indefferent so long as you can smell fish guts play with kelp whips. One of the two trips in this post I shot with some friends in the hopes of coming out with something to help define Smith & Velvet, a sometimes dark set of necklaces and bracelets. The second half really should be in separate posts but I wouldn’t want too many beach shots smothering my page:) The tilt shift pics are from a nasty storm in november 09. You couldn’t even walk on the beach during low tide unless you wanted the Pacific to determine your fate. yikes!!

Now that my feet are somewhat planted into dirt of multnomah county Im happy to have started producing media for a local band with a tight sound. Hoping to continue broadening my portfolio I approached them about shooting promo shots around the city. The idea hooked and we sought out to conceptualize what type of image would best represent their young band. The group had been creating music together for upwards of 8 years under the name kaddisfly. But with time comes change and change becomes a happy tune so the members decided to recreate their sound. To create music that reflected their current attitude towards making music and focus on being more creative with the new music.

Of all the holidays that wrap around the calendar from year to year we all have our favorites. I pretend I’m a hebrew in December and thankfully I’m thankful for thanksgiving. It seems the 365 days a year just go too quick so given the opportunity to sit back hammere down whiskey with the family is always a welcome tune. On that note lets discuss halloween, the dark, evil, sexy fetish of a celebration. The holiday that homosexuals appear straight and straights go homosexual, inhibitions sink below the skin of the earth and a couple drop shots will get your fingers wet. That is if your a halloweener. Unfortunately last year i was “stuck” in Switzerland where they somehow missed the party boat come October 31. Soo this year I had to double up on my lost holiday, thus New York happened.

Remember this? Summer brews by the water, raging inferno heat scorching the last drips of water from rain soaked portland? PSU professors in line with pregnant tweakers? Well hopefully you missed the horaww at the PDX brewfest last July in waterfront park. But in case you don’t recall what you would under sober circumstances or were lucky enough to avoid the chaos of beerfest 2009 altogether here’s a couple pics from BEERFEST 2009

I never expected taking my camera to the zoo and around Seattle for the day would result in soo much fun!! Although I never expected that I would enjoy shooting wildlife I sure did.. Could have something to do with exotics within a hundred feet locked inside a viewing arena… Safe and sound.
